Jack Jouett Apartments
Charlottesville, VA | 6,700 SF | General Contractor: Harman Construction
The renovation of Jack Jouett Apartments as a collaboration with the local general contractor provided rejuvenation to this vintage building. We began by carefully removing the old roofing materials, providing a clean slate for the upcoming changes. Adding 1” poly iso insulation enhanced the building’s energy efficiency.
At the project’s core was the installation of a durable, sleek white 60 mil TPO membrane. Copper accents, including scuppers, gravel stop, and a timeless standing seam, added both functionality and historical charm.
Preservation of historical character extended to the finest details, with copper caps on chimney tops and the addition of copper gutters, leader heads, and round downspouts. This project stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts, seamlessly blending tradition with innovation, and ensuring the legacy of this vintage building.
