The Problem

For the new Holtzman Mt. Jackson Convenience Store, the roofing design required a durable, attractive, and low-maintenance solution that could withstand Virginia's varied weather conditions. The project called for both a standing seam metal roof system and an EPDM roof system to ensure longevity, efficient water drainage, and easy maintenance.

The Solution

We installed a robust standing seam metal roof system with a striking “Cardinal Red” color that added visual appeal. The metal roof panels, crafted from durable .032” aluminum with a Kynar 500 paint finish, are backed by a 20-year paint finish warranty for lasting color retention. Custom-fabricated trims, matching fascia cladding, and strategically placed snow guards completed the metal roofing system, while new gutters and downspouts ensured effective water management.

In addition, a fully adhered 60-mil EPDM roof system was installed over insulated decking for enhanced thermal efficiency. This section of the roof is supported by a 15-year weathertight warranty, features reinforced seams, and watertight flashing around all rooftop units (RTUs) to protect the building from leaks. Manufacturer’s walkway pads were also installed to create safe access pathways, essential for rooftop maintenance.
