Restore Your Commercial Roof’s Potential with Liquid-Applied Membrane

Since 1978, Fenco Incorporated has been manufacturing custom-made countertops in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.

Problem

As a top-quality Laminate and Solid Surface Countertop Fabricator with 44,000 square feet of warehouse space and stocked with laminate selections the existing roof system (mechanically fastened button-style EPDM) was reaching its life and needed a solution.

Solution

The customer contacted Skyline Roofing for a solution, and after speaking with us decided to opt for a liquid-applied membrane system instead of a full roof replacement. The solution was recommended as a restoration that could extend the life of the aging roof system. The high-quality elastomeric liquid-applied system was less invasive, sealed and protected the old system, provided energy efficiency, and will extend the life of the roof by up to 20 years.

Benefits

The application of the liquid-applied membrane system will provide several benefits for this customer:

Leak Prevention: The liquid-applied system creates a seamless, waterproof membrane that seals all cracks and gaps on the existing roof.  It will prevent future leaks from developing and causing damage to the interior assets.

Energy Efficiency: The white reflective liquid-applied system will reflect the sun’s rays, reducing heat transfer into the building.  This will result in a cooler interior, which can reduce load on an HVAC system and lower energy bills.

Cost-Effective: A liquid-applied membrane system can be a more economical option.  They also require less time to install, which means less disruptions to your daily operations.

Longevity: A high-quality elastomeric liquid-applied system can restore and extend the life of your roof system by up to 20 years.  It will provide long-term protection and reduce the need for costly repairs and maintenance.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this customer chose the liquid-applied system over the warehouse to address the aging system and reduce maintenance costs.  The system will provide the customer with a long-term solution that will extend the life, improve energy efficiency, and prevent future leaks.  The application of this system also minimized disruption to the customer’s operations.

We were grateful to have the opportunity to help solve this customer’s commercial roofing problem and we are always looking forward to solving the next commercial roofing problem. If you want to learn more about liquid-applied membrane systems feel free to reach out.
